By Material Type

  • Mild steel: Use the standard 8x thickness V-opening to balance forming quality and tool life.

  • Aluminum: Prone to surface marks. Use roller-type adjustable dies, where the rolling mechanism protects the sheet surface from common marking and scratching issues.

By Sheet Thickness

  • Thin sheet (≤2mm): Use a narrow 6-8x thickness V-opening to prevent sheet sagging, deformation, and bending bulging.
  • Medium sheet (3-6mm): Use the standard 8x thickness V-opening to balance tonnage, inside radius, and part appearance for most conventional fabrication.
