Press Brake Mold is the main process equipment for sheet metal processing. With the development of industries such as engineering machinery, automobiles, ships, aerospace, electrical instruments and building decoration, sheet metal processing companies at home and abroad have higher and higher requirements on the forming accuracy and shape complexity of sheet metal products.

At the same time, they have higher and higher requirements on the surface quality of sheet metal parts, especially for the bending processing of stainless steel plates and aluminum plates, which require no scratches.
Disadvantages of traditional press brake molds
The lower die structure under the traditional bending method usually has V-shaped grooves with different opening sizes, which are used to bend plates of different thicknesses.
During bending, under the action of the bending force, the plate moves along the edge of the V-shaped groove of the lower die and is squeezed and rubbed by the bending force, resulting in obvious indentation and tensile defects on the surface of the formed sheet metal.

The width of the defective band is about 0.414 times the width of the V-shaped groove, which seriously affects the appearance quality of the product. To solve the above defects in traditional bending, it is necessary to overcome the movement of the plate during the bending process and the friction and squeezing force of the V-shaped groove of the lower die on the plate.
Solutions for Mark-Free Press Brake Molds
In order to solve the problem of sliding friction between the product and the notch during the bending process of traditional press brake molds, resulting in scratches on the outside, LMRM has actively promoted the research and development of non-indentation mold structures since 2005.
This innovative design aims to reduce or avoid the indentation of the workpiece during the bending process, especially on the outer side of the workpiece. By adopting a variety of non-indentation mold structures, the surface quality of the workpiece during the bending process is improved, and the overall appearance and texture of the product are improved.
This technological innovation enables LMRM mold products to better meet the high requirements for surface quality while meeting the bending needs.
Mark-free Die With Roller
The Mark-free Die With Roller is made by changing the rounded corners of the bending die slot to a roller structure. During the bending process, the roller rotates under the drive of the workpiece, causing rolling friction between the outer side of the workpiece and the roller, effectively reducing the scratch marks.

In addition, the roller made of high-hardness material significantly improves the service life of the mold, making it the most commonly used non-indentation mold.
This innovative design not only improves the surface quality of the product, but also improves the durability of the mold, bringing significant improvements to the efficiency of the bending process and the quality of the finished product.
Rolla-V Dies
The structure of the Rolla-V die is changed from a fixed overall V-groove structure to a symmetrical left and right rotating flap, so that the product does not slide relatively to the left and right rotating flap during the bending process.
During the bending process, the workpiece and the left and right rotating flaps do not slide relative to each other, thus completely eliminating the indentations and scratches that may occur during the bending process.

Rolla-V Dies has many advantages: modular structure, precision manufacturing, high mold precision; avoids the generation of indentations in traditional bending; does not damage the mold when bending laser-cut plates; achieves ultra-short edge bending; and has no deformation when bending near holes or slots.
Rolla-V Dies is suitable for the bending of mirror stainless steel, aluminum plates, and other beautiful decorative plates with high requirements for surface quality, greatly optimizing the surface quality of the bent products.
Urethane Die
The urethane non-indentation lower die is a specialized press brake die that utilizes a urethane structure to eliminate indentation marks on the outer surface of the workpiece during bending. This innovative design provides a softer and more flexible support, effectively preventing surface damage—especially for materials like stainless steel and aluminum, where surface quality is a key concern.
However, while this structure excels in eliminating indentation, it presents challenges in controlling the bending angle precisely. Due to its flexibility, it is best suited for bending applications where high dimensional accuracy is not the primary requirement. Despite its limitations, the urethane non-indentation lower die serves as an effective solution for specific bending needs, offering a balance between surface protection and formability.
